About Mrs. Davis

I am a Chico State graduate and a Chico area resident since 1998. I have been teaching middle school 12 years. Passionate and creative, I model innovative strategies to make education relevant and interesting for my students. I dedicate my classroom time to engaging my students and encouraging them; I hold them to a high standard of critical thinking and problem solving; I teach them to be responsible and self-motivated citizens.

As for me, I am a lifelong learner. I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development. Connected to other innovative educators through Twitter, I am a voracious reader of blogs and academic articles, seeking new ideas and strategies to help my students flourish. I almost always have a project on Donors Choose for my students that YOU can help fund. :-)

In addition to my commitment to being a "connected educator," I am a devoted mother to my daughter, Eva, and an adoring spouse to my wife, Ange, who works in IT for CSU Chico. Together, we explore culinary adventures, support community theater, advocate for social justice, and travel the world. Ask me about my trips to various United States, Greece, Mexico, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand and all the amazing food I've eaten!
